Adeline let out a small gasp as her back hit the wall right next to the only torch in the room. She closed her eyes for a brief moment, and Lucan dwopped in to take her lips yet again, but immediately opened them as she sought to see his face. He slowly leaned away, his eyes holding hers, darting across both of them, his chest heaving. For a while, neither of them said a word, till she slowly turned to the fire next to them, in her eyes a silent demand. She turned back to Lucan, then brought her hand to gently run down the edge of his face, and she watched his throbbing heart melt into the feel of her skin.
