The door to Akina’s hospital room opened and her dad entered once more.
“Dad I told you I was feeling better, you don’t have to check on me every five minutes,” Akina rolled her eyes and sat up on the bed. “Really, I feel much better now and the doctor did say I was going to be okay.”
“I know pumpkin,” her dad replied softly, “but that isn’t why I’m here. There is someone who wants to see you.” He walked away and Akina could not help but wonder who it was and how they had known she was in hospital.
Moments later, her door was opening once more and behind her dad was none other than AJ. Her dad gave her a look that said ‘we will talk about this later’ and then he left her and AJ alone.
