“How was your day beautiful?” AJ asked as soon as Akina answered his FaceTime call. He was smiling and it looked like he was laying on his bed from Akina’s point of view.
Akina was sat at her desk with a ton of her homework already completed. “It was fine,” she replied and chewed the cap of her pen to hide the goofy grin on her face. “How was yours?”
AJ arched an eyebrow incredulously, “That’s all I get? No I missed you or anything?”
Akina smiled and shook her head. “Why would I lie to you and myself?” she asked and then swirled around in her seat. AJ shot her a disbelieving look. “I don’t lie, you have to get used to it.”
“You’re a bad girlfriend,” AJ said and pretended to scowl but there was a ghost of a smile on his face. “What kind of girlfriend doesn’t miss her own boyfriend?”
