Ash is leaning on his desk drumming his fingers on the cherry wood surface, clearly waiting for an explanation. Come on xia spit it out. I've known you for what seems like my whole life. I threw ash a smile and nodded on my way out.I picked up the camping gear I left near the storage room and took off in the direction of the northern border. Zion, I shout. I'm starting to panic. I'm struggling to regain control after smelling someone else on Xia. At that moment, I rejected my humanity. I feel possesive and I want to hurt whoever touched what is mine.

I stumbled on a young woman maybe in her late twenties. I'm assuming she's a wolf because I'm positive she sensed me before I came into view. She takes a defensive stance as I approach. I need a doctor please, I groan out my voice filled with anguish. She eyes me curiously before her eyes travel to the man in my arms. A shocked expression covers her face before it's replaced with one of determination. "Follow me," she says before taking off in the direction of a large brick building.I do all I can to keep up. Once inside, I'm quickly surrounded by several men and women in white coats.

An older gentleman tries to take xia out of my arms. I catch hiss hand in mid-air with all intentions of crushing it . He holds his other hand up In surrender, showing me he means no harm. Please sir let us help beta xia. I glare at him for a moment before I nodded in agreement. Just place him on the stretcher so we can examine him.I do as the doctor says. They turn to rush him into a room screaming something about surgery. I follow them close behind,the man I spoke with earlier turns and stops me in my tracks before I could enter. I've been pacing for what seems like hours. People passing by must think I'm insane. After nearly wearing a hole into the white tile, the door finally reopens. The man I spoke to earlier steps out covered in xia blood.

"How is he?" I whispered. Frozen in place, it feels like he's taking eons to respond and I'm terrified of his answer .

I rush through the door to see my mate sitting up on the bed tubes coming out of his arms. He has a pleasant smile plastered on his face. He pats the spot on the bed next to him encouraging me to sit. I move towards him hesitantly expecting a violent reaction,but when I'm in arms reach he engulfs me in his arms and I can't stop the streams of tears that have been threatening to break free.I crumble under his embrace and cry while apologizing profusely.
