The Visit - Part 2

She took two steps into the room and gave the room an over all scan with her eyes. She heard him close the door behind them. No extra noises that would indicate he was locking the door to keep us in or others out, after all he has roommates. He walked towards the window, which she noticed a computer just under it. The computer was on a desk that spanned the whole wall back to her near the door. On the desk next to her was a vast array of makeup and hair items like bobby pins and hair bands. She watched him take a seat on the computer chair. He turned to her and extended another computer chair, “here, have a seat”. She stepped towards him and the chair, and he continued, “I promise to give you a proper tour afterwards, but I really wanted to show you this”, he took the computer mouse. She sat down in the chair and rolled herself closer to him. A chime of a familiar videogame seem to come from all around the room as the computer woke from its sleep mode. She was slightly startled “Oh”. “Sorry about that, I forget to warn people that the room is actually surround sound.” “That’s so cool, did you set it all up yourself?” “Yeah, I had ordered a number of things online for my birthday and I saw this sound strips”, he looked up and pointed to a thin copper strip that wrapped the perimeter of the ceiling, “that’s where the sound comes from, making the whole room a speaker.” “Wow”, the idea and sound was cool, but boys and their toys was a statement that came to mind as she looked back down at the monitor. A voice with controlled authority, yet soft sweetness of a mother’s touch came from the room, “Hello Commander,” he pointed at himself, “and welcome Lieutenant,” he pointed at her.
