A deep authoritative voice came from behind, “Commander Str’lyng, our shields are down to twenty five percent, forward weapons are gone, causalities reported on all decks,” as the voice seem to pause ever so briefly as to what seemed for another report to pull up on the screen, “sensors indicate two more vessels entering the area, unable to identify.”
Everything shook, and that’s when William realized he was in that other place again. He looked around himself and saw the hand he was holding still. “Tally, are with me” he asked in a low voice to avoid others from hearing.
Her head turned slowly in his direction, her eyes wide and shock on her face. She mustard up the energy to control the shock and ask him “where are we?”
“Take a minute to take it all in, I’ll deal with the current situation.” The tone of his voice changed into that of control and confidence “Helm, take us about. Tactical bust aft shields and ready torpedos.” Watching the main viewer as everyone did as instructed to, William thought he saw a flicker in the light of the attack ship. “Now Mr. Burke, fire!”
On the main viewer a series of beams of light and glowing ball flew up from the bottom of the screen towards the attack ship and hitting repeatedly in the similar area.
The attacking ship went black and accompanied by a number of mini explosions along the haul.
With the attack halted, William instructed everyone within earshot to keep shield up and do what we can to restore systems.
“Tally”, the soft friendly voice she knew “Tally are you with me. This, this is what I wanted to show you, well not in the middle of a battle, but here.” He glanced around to see if anyone was paying attention to them, and he was right they where officers focused on their assignments and getting the ship back up and running effectively. “Follow me”.
Tal’ya stood up slowly and took pace after William up a ramp that lead to the back were there was a door. The room was huge, but small somehow, the centre table ate up most of the space that was it she thought to herself.
William stood by the massive windows looking out towards the stars, and she approached his side “Welcome to the game reality or somehow, the actual future.”
