After Rowena took her leave, Priscilla hurried to the conference hall.
She found Adelaide there, sipping coffee slowly and looking pensive. Priscilla asked, "I heard Rowena was here. I came specially to chat with her."
Adelaide rose and greeted her with a bow. "Rowena left just a short while ago."
"Already gone?" Priscilla panted as she sat down. "Wasn't she here to see me?"
She was rather disappointed, having thought that Rowena had come specially to see her.
She had always envied Madison, as so many distinguished she-wolves always came to visit her.
"She did come for you, but hearing you were still asleep from last night's drinking, she didn't want to disturb and left," Adelaide explained.
