Chapter 38
After a long and sleepless night, we’d bided our time till after lunch, then called Allador to get things started. He’d knocked our guards unconscious and used Raynar’s thumbprint to open the door. After disabling the cameras for us, we hid Raynar and Baudin in our bathroom. Once Allador had gone into the service corridor, it hadn’t taken him long to find a couple of workers.
We headed toward Lysander’s office and when we rounded the corner, the service door was halfway open. I looked around quickly. There was no one in the hallway, so we went in and Daniel slid the door closed so it wouldn’t draw the attention of passersby.
