Chapter 51
I gave a start when I heard noises in the distance. My heart leapt as I saw lights moving toward us.
“Daniel! They’re here!” I said aloud. Then I shouted to the approaching humans. “Hey! Over here! We need help!”
Hearing their return shouts was a comfort, but I didn’t move from Daniel’s side.
The Ampari moved back, and some of them disappeared from sight. I told them.
They stayed and watched as Rescue entered the clearing we were in. The fact that they weren’t wearing the security uniforms of Katoa Labs was a relief.
There were looks of shock and surprise on their faces, but I stood and told them not to be afraid. My head spun and I swayed a little, but I managed to stay upright. The last thing I needed was to faint before I could explain the Ampari.
