The next couple of days of training were not a pleasant experience. I was still seething from what they’d done to Daniel and was still feeling the bruises. From Daniel’s description, I was pretty sure Xander had been the one delivering the blows, so he was the last person I wanted to be spending my days with. We’d alternated between telepathy and telekinesis and I felt I had a pretty good grasp of it. I could initiate and hold a conversation without using a Mind-link and I could initiate a Mind-link on purpose. And when I did, I didn’t feel half as exhausted as I had initially. I felt more confident and could lift a variety of objects without dropping them. I should have been feeling proud of my achievements, but it was overshadowed by the fact that they were keeping us prisoners. Sitti
