I sat myself down in the comfy chair in the counsellor’s office. He introduced himself as Dr Lysander.
This’ll be good.
There’d been no warning, just a message to go to see the counsellor at 0900 this morning.
“So, Miss Callista, how are you feeling today?”
That was so cliché. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. How was I going to take this seriously? “Lennina. Please. And I’m fine, considering the circumstances.”
“Okay, Lennina. What circumstances would that be?”
My eyes wandered to the walls where there were numerous certificates and awards prominently displayed. “Daniel and I are being held here against our will and should be allowed to go home to complete our training.”
He steepled his hands and looked at me. “What makes you think that you are ready to go home?”
