Nicole’s POV Zara’s workplace was busy, music playing low in the background as her workers moved around, arranging things and checking lists. I sat on a stool near the counter, watching Zara pace back and forth with her phone in hand. Zara suddenly stopped and turned to me. “Okay. Enough.” I blinked. “Enough of what?” “Enough of that face,” Zara said, pointing at me. “You’ve been quiet since morning.” I looked away. “It’s nothing.” Zara scoffed. “Nicole, please.
