Chapter Thirty-Three: A Mother's Tale“You rancid cur!” Before anyone could move, even blink, Luis shot to his feet and landed such a blow across Carlos's jaw, that the bully was more surprised than hurt. As he teetered backwards a step or two, Luis hit him again. And again. Over and over, driving Carlos backwards, the ferocity of the blows too much for a reaction. All the years of anger, the pain, the humiliation Luis had suffered. It all came out in that single burst of violence.
