“All right.” She struggled to push herself upright. Nathan put the Bach on the dressing table, raised her, lifted the bedclothes, raised her and swung her legs over the side of the bed. Dorothy searched for her slippers, her feet pointing here and there.“ Hold on,” he said, fitting them. Nathan liked that the two bedrooms and the bathroom were to the back, facing the communal drying green. The sitting room and the kitchen-c*m-living room faced on to Galt Place, looking over the municipal buildings and the west harbours, with good views of the river and the mountains. The old fashioned kitchen had a dresser and a sink off set to the right of the bay window beside the pantry. A table and four upright elm chairs sat in the centre. Two easy chairs lay on either side of a glowing fireplace.
