Aldo pretended not to know that Kyle was crying. He continued to calm Kyle by humming the Japanese folk song in a soft voice. His Bushido education doesn't allow him to cry, so Kyle has a habit of keeping all his emotions to himself. But Kyle finally got out of control tonight. The loss of loved ones, the departure from home, the meeting with Aldo, it all came together. The ballad "Hometown" was a kind of acquiescence, and Kyle turned all his emotions into tears under its melody.
Just cry. Aldo thought to himself. Aldo knows how hard it can be to suppress emotions, so he rarely forces himself to do it. Kyle is only 20 years old, and he shouldn't have put himself through so much. So, this is how Aldo puts Kyle at ease. Just cry and let all the emotion out.
