POV: Mira
The relic’s glow fades, leaving me in the dim chamber with Lila’s revelation echoing in my mind. Two heirs. Two flames. Two sisters. The weight of this truth presses down on me, threatening to crush the very foundation of my identity.
I stagger back, the chamber spinning. Lila watches me with a mixture of pity and challenge in her eyes.
“You knew,” I whisper, my voice trembling. “All this time, you knew.”
She nods slowly. “I did. And so did others.” The betrayal cuts deeper than any blade. Cassian, Rosalie, and now Lila… all keeping truths from me. My fists clench, nails digging into my palms.
“I trusted you,” I say, stepping closer to her. “You were my sister-in-arms, my confidante.”
