When adhena reached hospital her mom was sleeping. The nurse said she just slept now and she was having pain so they have given medicine so that she can get some sleep. By seeing her mom adhena couldn't hold her tears back.

Her mom was once so elegant and pretty now she has become like skelton. If Anne came now she won't be able to recognize her. But Anne won't come adhena was so sure about it. If she had to come it would have happened when grandpa passed away.

Now she is trying to convince herself that Anne is alive.Her sister was so sensitive and kindhearted. She won't be able stay away so long without contacting her and when she didn't came even for grandpa's funeral adhena lost all hope. This thought made her heart ache.

Her grandpa tried searching for her until his death after that no one was interested. She felt little guilty because her life become so messed up she had to purposefully forget her sister.

Her phone rang. It was her roommate Lily. She met lily in college. Since her dad was not so interested to spend much money on her she went to a normal college not where elites study. Her poor condition made her lost contact with most of her friends in school. The only friend whom she contacts from school is Jennie who is the only daughter of Mr holmes who have lot business around the city.

"Hello Lily"

"Hi addy. Are you still in hospital. "

"I just reached hospital. I have to meet doctor. "

"Just reached? What happened you worked overtime"

"No it's a long story. "

"Well someone is waiting for you here. She said you promised you will have dinner with her"

"Oh jennie. I actually forgot but don't tell her. I will come after meeting doctor"

"Ok no problem. I will handle bye"

After giving a gentle kiss on mom's head. She went to see doctor after informing nurse.

"Hi doctor, Good evening"

"Hi adhena. Come in. Have a seat"

"Doctor how's mom. She looks more pale today and nurse said she was having pain a lot"

"Yeah adhena. I don't know how to tell you this. Her condition is little worst we may have to do another surgery"

"Another surgery? "

"We are finding some growth in her stomach which is causing her so much pain. "

"Oh.. "

Suddenly tears came in her eyes

"Don't worry adhena after surgery she will be okay.We are continuously monitoring her. So take it easy"

After leaving hospital Adhena was not in a good mood. She doesn't know what to do. Her mom's condition is already weak now again one more surgery. That also need more money. And the new treatment to prevent further growth and recurrence that is also there. She don't know how much her dad will help. Everything made her totally down. She couldn't hold back her tears.

Adhena's Apartment

"Hey dear you forgot your date with your best friend."

Jennie stopped by seeing adhena's face

"What happened you look upset. Did you cried. ?"

"No no jennie I am fine"

"You looks like you were crying what happened addy"

"Nothing lily. How was work? Oh you guys ordered food. I will freshen up and come. "

"That can wait come and sit. Tell us what happened. "

"No when I saw my mom. I couldn't hold it back. She is becoming very weak. That's why"

"Oh dear everything will be ok don't worry " Jennie hugged her

"Yeah I know" "Let's have food. "

Lily said "I have brought some beer. Let all the pain flow out with this"

"I don't want it today"

"Hey that's not fair" Jennie said "We will keep it here if your mood changes you can have it ok. " Lily said

They started having food.

" By the way when I called you said just reached hospital why? What happened? You said it's a long story"

" Yeah dad called me he had to say something urgent so went home"

"What's so urgent that he called you immediately"

"Is Rachel bothering you. I can teach her a lesson"

"No jen. It was about something else. It was about my marriage"

"Marriage? Your marriage? Are you going to marry? Why I am not aware of it"

"Jen hold it. No one is marrying. Its just a strange proposal"

"Your dad is going to do some business deal through you. "

"Not like that or we can say kind of"

"I was sure one day they will make a deal to sell you off. But what is strange about this"

"You will get to know when I say his name"

"Oh really. Then I want to know the name"

Jennie choked on her food

"What? Are you serious"

Lily asked in a confused look "you meant the cold prince Christopher Adam"

I just nodded my head towards those bewildered faces.
