Chapter Six Chapter Six The third pounding on the door shook the entire mobile home. Sammy checked his self-winding wristwatch. It was still working. The single ray of sunlight beaming through the partially-closed shades let in enough light to see the time. Only three hours since the blackout started. Sammy had already broken into the snack and soda machines out of nervous boredom. At this rate, his sole food source wasn’t a good bet to last long.
