He and the boys headed upstairs as per the council's request to get changed for his ascension to the pack Alpha, “Moving very quickly.” Vance stated while they rode the elevator. “Not even I was expecting it to all happen today.”
“No, I thought tomorrow or maybe the day after.” Slade nodded, though he had known he was going to be busy over these coming days, and it was likely from what he’d just heard, that he wasn’t going to get to spend much time with Ana or Ocean. Now that he was home, the pack had to come before himself and what he wanted. That was what an Alpha was; a person who protected their pack and put it before their own needs.
