A bullet raced up to the bridge, but this one didn’t simply curve away from Cassi. It looped around and sped back to Kez. She jumped, performing a backflip as that slug hit the floor. Landing with a hiss, she aimed for the bridge, but the Bending was still in place. It vanished a moment later, restoring Cassi to her proper shape. The tiny woman was grinning. “That,” she said, “is how you do Curved Geometry.” Kez was about to ask what she could do to refine her technique, but in her moment of contemplation, Cassi drew a pistol. An instant later, she was vaulting over the railing and using Bent Gravity to slow her descent to the floor. Dropping to a crouch, Cassi raised her pistol in one hand.
