Tessa and Avery came out of the detention room, holding their bags with them. They hugged each other and walked towards their various cars and went out of the school.

Fredrick's mansion.

"Hi everyone," Tessa said as she entered the house. She went straight to the kitchen and found her mom preparing dinner, and she hugged her from the back. "Hi darling," Mrs. Fredrick (Nadine) said. "Where is dad?" Tessa asked. "In his room," Nadine replied. "And Tina?" Tessa asked, and Nadine chuckled. "She's waiting for you; she heard about the detention stuff on mom." "Save me," Tessa said dramatically, putting her hands on her chest, before sneaking to her room.

Tessa's room,

10:49 pm.

‎ Tessa was playing video games when she heard a knock on her door. "Come in," she said without looking up. "Tess," she heard her sister call. "WTF, Tess," she said, dropping the game control. "What happened between you and Cassie, and why didn't you come to my room to greet me after school?" Tina said. "I'm sorry, Sis. I just had to teach her a lesson; she called you a murderer." Tessa said. "I know you, Tess; you won't see Cassie and ignored her, but it's fine. I met her sister at the restaurant the other day." Tina said. "Seriously?" Tessa said, and Tina smiled. "But don't worry, Maria was there." Tina said. "Seriously, you finally got to meet Maria? Can I meet her too?" Tessa squealed. "Sleep, tomorrow is school." Tina said, taking the game control from her before going out of the room. "Strong hair," Tessa replied before falling on her bed.

Black Axe underground warehouse.

Black Axe underground warehouse is the biggest mafia warehouse in the whole of California; it belongs to Julian's father, Jacob Ashwoods. Julian came in with a young lady beside him; she was dressed in a black gown with boots. Mr. Jacob smiled upon seeing his son. "Welcome, Julian, and welcome, Lia," he said, and they both smiled. "How is your wedding with Lia going?" Mr. Jacob asked, and Julian answered, "As soon as I can get my hands on the Fredrick's wealth." He said, and Mr. Jacob smiled, a sinister one at that, before going out. And Lia turned to Julian's. "I think there is more to the Fredrick's that dad is hiding," she said. "I think so," Julian said with a neutral expression.

Mikel's house.

Mikel sat in his couch in the living room, playing video games, when he heard a knock. "Damn, who is there?" he asked. "It's me, Lena," he heard, and he went to open the door. "Hi, Lena," he said. "Can I come in?" she said, and he nodded. She entered, swaying her hips, but going directly to the kitchen before coming in with two glasses of wine and gave one to Mikel, which he refused, so she drank it. "You see, Mikel, I wonder why you keep playing hard to get. Just know you are mine because I will keep on chasing till you fall," she said with a smirk.

Nad's Factory, Texas.

Nad's factory is the biggest factory owned by a female, and it belongs to Nadine Fredrick; her sister, Evelyn Bernard, is the managing director for the branch in Texas. She was on a call with someone at the far end. "Mom, please be fast; we can't lose this opportunity," a female voice said. "It's a matter of time, Lia; give momma some time," and the female hissed. "You know what Don can do, right?" the female asked. "Give me more time to figure this out," Evelyn said.

Fredrick's mansion.

Tessa heard a knock and went to open the door. " Ophelia," she said and jumped on her happily, all smiles. "How are you doing?" she said. Tina, hearing the noise outside, came out to peep. "Ophelia, is that you?" she asked. "Yes, it's me," Ophelia said, and Tina pulled her into a tight hug. "Long time no see, bestie," she said, pulling her into their mansion before offering her a seat. "I will be your host, aunt Ophelia; what do you want to have?" Tessa asked with a bow so dramatic. Ophelia said with a chuckle, "You know my favorite - your mom's chocolate and peanut butter cookies is the sweetest ever." Ophelia said, and Tessa smiled before going to get Ophelia's order.

Tina sat down beside Ophelia and hugged her again. "I missed you so much, Phelia," Tina said, and Ophelia laughed. "That much? It was just two months," Ophelia said, and Tina laughed. "So, you didn't miss me?" Tina asked. "Of course, I do," Ophelia said.

Tessa came in with her request, together with a pack of juice, and placed it in front of Ophelia. Ophelia took a piece of cookies and took a bite. "Hmm, seems like Aunt And's recipe got a lot better," Ophelia said. "That's why her factory is still the biggest. And guess what? Some of the recipe was inspired by Tina," Tessa said. "I'm not surprised," Ophelia said. "I know how good of a cook Tina has been."

Ophelia said, and then Tina flashed her her fingers. "I am getting married to Julian Ashwoods," Tina said, flaunting her slender fingers before Ophelia's eyes, and "Wow" was the only thing Ophelia mouthed.

Maximum mall.

Tina came to pick some few things from the mall when she bumped into someone - Mikel. "Long time no see," she said with a smile, and he smiled. "You have changed a lot," he said, taking her in. "You look more handsome now than when we were in college," she said, and Mikel smirked. "I knew you had a crush on me back then," he said, and she scoffed. "Me? Crush? Nah, I never had a crush on you," she said, and he chuckled dramatically.

"What are you doing here, by the way?" he asked. "It's obvious - I came to pick some stuff," she said. Then she brought out her phone and handed it to him. "Can I have your number?" she asked. "Are you trying to ask me out?" he asked with a smirk, and she flashed him her fingers. "I'm already taken," she said, and he narrowed his eyes before giving her his number. "I will have to start rushing off now," Tina said with a smile before walking out on Mikel.
