*Chapter 11&12*
Starlight Modeling Agency.
Tessa followed Tina to the company today, as she was bored at home, and Avery had followed her parents on a business trip as usual. She was there to play tricks. She followed Tina to her office, and Tina warned her to behave herself. "I will," she said with a smile.
Few minutes later, she sneaked out when Tina and her secretary were busy. Wandering around, she saw the new guy. "What's he doing here?" she asked no one in particular. She saw a girl about her age flirting with him. She approached them. "Hi," she said, more directly to the boy. The girl immediately hung her hands around the boy. "Xavier, let's leave here," she said. "No, we attended the same school," he said.
Tessa smiled before turning to the girl. "You work here, right?" she asked, and the girl nodded. "You're fired." "You can't fire me; you ain't the boss," the girl said. "You were flirting instead of working," Tessa said.
The girl brought her hands up and landed a slap on Tessa's cheek, and everyone who knew Tessa gasped. A lady, one of the models, came to meet the girl and whispered in her ear, and she immediately faced Tessa. "I'm sorry for slapping you; I'm really sorry," the girl said.
Tessa slapped her twice before walking away.
Here is the story with punctuation marks added:
"CAFE in Starlight."
"Who is that girl, the one who slapped me?" Tessa asked Xavier, as they were both drinking coffee. "I don't know, I met her today," he said, and she scoffed. "And the two of you are already flirting?" "Am not your boyfriend," Xavier said, and she rolled her eyes. "And you ain't my type, neither. Am only trying to protect my sister's business; I don't want one i***t to come out from nowhere and ruin everything my sister built," she said with a sneer.
"What's her name? Did you ask?" she added, and he stared at her for a while. "Chloe," he said. "She is new here," he added, and she nodded. "What does she work as?" she asked. "She's a new model," he said, and she threw him a bundle of cash. "Thanks for your information," she said, and made to go. But he pushed it back at her with a glare. "What do you take me for?" he asked, and left angrily.
"Nad's factory"
Evenlyn was seriously working on something when a knock sounded on the door, "come in" she said and a man came in he looked like an Albanian and he was holding a file in his hands.
"what did you gather" she asked without looking up, she had sent for him earlier and he pushed to her the files
"
"that's your sister's daughters" he said and she smirked staring at the picture, beautiful children she have got here, too bad she ain't gonna hold them forever, she said and laughed like it was funny this is the youngest right she asked and he nodded kill her like you did to her twin and leave no trace as usual she said and he nodded
A small house in Texas.
"Mom!" a boy called out as he came in. He was tall and had round, hazel-brown eyes. He kissed a stout Asian woman on her cheeks, and she smiled. The room was very scattered and looked very poor and less ventilated. The bed was all torn, and the walls were starting to crack and peel. There was a small table in the centre, and clothes littered at the far end of the wall.
"Hi, bro!" a younger girl said. She looked like a mix of Asian and European descent, with average height and a very beautiful, innocent-looking face. She jumped on him. "What's up for me?" she asked, hugging him more tightly.
"Hey, is it your plan to choke me to death?" he asked, and she released her hold on him. "It's better you don't ask; I had a stressful day at work," he said, and she pouted and poked at his chest.
"Mom made dinner, something delicious and nice," she said. "What is it?" he asked. "I'm not going to tell you, come and see for yourself," she said, dragging him to a very tight and small kitchen.
Mikel's house.
Mikel sat down on a high stool in his private bar. There were different types of expensive drinks in the cellar. He had different pictures scattered of someone on his table; he was staring at the pictures seriously, as if trying to get a clue from them. The pictures were of Diego; they had been friends, though not close. At least, he knew something about him, even if it wasn't enough. Who would have possibly wanted him dead?
"And Julian," he thought. "No, Julian is as calm as a dove," he said with sacarsm. He heaved a sigh as he remembered something from the past.
Lumina College.
He was walking with Diego, and they heard some whimpers coming from a nearby room. "Julian, please, this is not fair," he heard cries, followed by Julian's laughter. And he immediately opened the door to see Julian holding a belt in his hands, flogging a lady; she was all red already. "What's going on here?" he asked angrily, and Julian immediately dropped the belt.
"I thought you can't harm a person," Diego asked with a smirk. Julian scoffed, "I have proof; I will send it to Tina." Mikel asked with a smirk, "Do your worst; she won't believe you." Julian smirked before punching him. "Do your worst; she won't believe you," he said, and left the room. Diego rushed to release the tied lady.
Present.
Mikel gathered all the files together; he needed to get to the closest enemy of Diego. Maybe that would give him a hint.
Fredrick's mansion.
Nadine kept staring at the picture of a little boy with a cute smile; his teeth were incomplete, and memories flashed through her eyes.
Flashback.
Kiddies park in California. "Hey kiddos, don't go far," Nadine said to Tina, Tessa, and Trent. "Okay, Mummy," they chorused, as she went to get them cotton candy and popcorn, along with ice cream, as requested by Tessa. Immediately, a gunshot was heard, and people flew in different directions, bullets hitting some children and adults to the ground. Parents were in tears; people ran in different directions, and soon the gunshots died down.
Nadine rushed for her children, only to see Tessa and Tina crying. "Where is Trent? Where is my boy? Where is your brother?" she asked. A really tall, mean guy took him, Tina whimpered. And immediately, Nadine fainted.
Present.
She sighed. "It's been years now; still can't find our little boy," she said, and Matteo hugged her from behind. "I just hope he's alive," he said, and she nodded, hugging the picture to herself, refusing to let tears fall out.
Tina stood outside, listening to them, and felt hot tears streaming down her eyes. She had watched the man take her brother, and she couldn't bring herself to do anything. And since that day, she had vowed to protect Tessa, no matter what.
