The Quest

Ella had no choice but to deliver this message as soon as possible to Isabella before it’s too late , darker minds had turned to this place and soon blood and chaos will run over these lands . Isabella was instructed to leave the palace at once and look for Alistair the wizard of the Starlight Court. But in other to do that she must first go to the misty isle of Nathir .

He would help her discover her path in this life and the reason she was abandoned in the first place. Isabella knew she couldn’t leave the castle now because it’s heavily guarded, she must carefully prepare her escape. Daylight was upon her and she needed to get some items to aid her escape. After breakfast she spent the whole day and planning.

She first packed her bag with rope , some few essentials , took the map of Canvor from the mapmaker and sling her long bow around her shoulder. It was nearly midnight, she dodged the guards on patrol and slipped out of the castle. She climbed through kelvin’s wonder and poured water he jolted up yelling “ what the hell!!!!??” And she shushed him . “ Quite you would wake up the kingdom, pack your stuff we leaving “ she didn’t give him time to think before urging him to Quickly get ready .

By moon they were far away from the castle, reached the town of melrose . She had never been far from home in all her eighteen years of her life. They entered a tavern named the milky cows, so many creatures where gathered from , elves , orc , goblins and giants . She hid behind her hood to prevent anyone from recognizing her.

They were eating when a brawl broke out , the whole tavern turned to uproar with creatures shouting and cheering. She turned her face to find kelvin staring at her and shaking his gears slowly whilst murmuring softly “ No “ , but her curiosity got the best of her . She pushed through the crowds to find a female orc fighting with three orcs.

The kept cheering on as the fighting got intense, in Isabellas peripheral view she saw someone slipped a dagger to the tall pale orc and screamed ,

“Look out !!!”

The female orc dodged the dagger and it pierced through the other side of the orc she was fighting, whilst she knocked the other out with a chair. Kelvin found Isabella pulled her out of the tavern.

“Are you crazy?, you could have been hurt .”

“Am fine , they would have killed her if I hadn’t intercepted “

“ What happened to keeping a low profile?.”

They got back on the road , they rode through the night till they reached the river of sorrows . People are to cross these waters Only in deep perils , they tied the horses to the trees and made their way to the docks , they boarded the boat and started to paddle. Isabella kept staring into the waters , seeing all these lost souls with nowhere to go , cast out of the afterlife to wander these waters without no purpose, such sad fate .

After several ours they reached the misty isles of Nathir . The figure clad in Burgundy cloak approached the duo .

“We had been expecting you heir of fire and your Guardian Wolf “

“How do you know us ?”

“ just follow me child, all your questions would be answered.”

They followed the footpath through the mountains till the reached the cave of mirrors and starlights . They found Ella dressed in white dress with crystals in hair head , she looked pristine and enchanting.

“As you must have guessed , am a sorceress welcome to my domain.”

“ You wanted me here, why ?”

“ to fulfill the prophecy “

“ what prophecy? , and why me .?”

The sorceress sighed,” I didn’t choose you , the Gods did .”

“ you are the most powerful woman in the world and that means the the Dark lord would hunt you down.”

“ wait , what ?”

“ now go and find Alistair only he and keep you safe .”

They left the isles with haste , being powerful is a lot to take in , but what she really needed to know was about her parents , which Ella refused to share . They made camp in the forest , Kelvin went to hunt dinner . He later came back with a rabbit , they quietly sat down waiting for their dinner to be ready .

Meanwhile at the pack house , the werewolf Alpha king and his family had been searching for their beloved ward , they searched everywhere and left no stone unturned. Gabriel was more than angry with himself for not protecting Isabella himself, how could she vanish into thin air without any trace . The trackers had found no trail of Isabella, He had been in afoul mood lately , he avoided Isabella because of the feelings he had for her , by neglecting her he had forsaken her to a fate far worse than death .
