Steven's eyes didn't leave Skylar the entire time and as soon as she invited him for a meal. He happily accepted the offer.
"Are you allergic to any of these?" Skylar asked as soon as they sat at the dining table. She pointed at the food on the table as she spoke.
Steven remained quiet. He was trying to hide his excitement at being so close to her. He was flustered and jumpy. It was the first time he's ever felt that way.
Seeing his expression, Skylar thought he was reluctant; he probably doesn't like the food on the table, so she asked innocently.
