BASTARD. Dorian. Standing outside, my hands interlocked behind my back, I bowed and paced back and forth, my heart racing and my palms growing sweaty. 'I sure hope Luna was alright and wasn't feeling too burdened by the thought that she couldn't shift.' I thought, feeling my forehead crease with worries. "Oh Luna!" I muttered under my breath, my mind drafting to her, wondering how come they look so alike and could act the same way. "Was she perhaps....?" I had barely completed my sentence when my wolf immediately came to life in mind, flipping around and trying to control me. I narrowed my eyes in confusion, wondering why Ryker was so restless all of a sudden, when the most delicious scent hit me in the nose and I froze, my breath hitching in my throat. My senses instantly sharpened and I began to sniff, wanting more of such an alluring scent, my entire body growing hot, the air seeming both suffocating and relieving at the same time. My feet on their accord moved and I found myself, pushing open the grand door to the banquet hall, startling both Luna and Killian, who furrowed their brows at me. I tried stopping myself and turning back, but the smell grew stronger and I walked in, closer and closer till I almost got to her and our eyes met mine. My eyes widened in disbelief as I suddenly realized it belonged to her. My heart began to race fast as I felt like grabbing her and shoving her tightly into my arms, merging our body as one. "Mine!" I growled before I could control myself and she let out a gasp, her eyes bulging in shock as she took a step backwards, shaking her head in disbelief, clenching her hands together as if stopping herself from running to me. "N-no! It can't b-b." She stuttered, while Killain exchanged looks with me, confused at first but then his eyes widened in disbelief as he figured it out. "You are my mate?" She asked and I was about to reply when Killain let out a snarl, glaring daggers at me as he turned to face her back. "To your room now." He commanded, his eyes darkening. Luna gulped, before she nodded and scurried away, without a second glance at me, leaving just me and Killain behind. ........ ........ "Are you seriously not going to say anything?" I demanded as I trailed behind Killian. He kicked the door open and entered, his shoulders dropping. "History is repeating itself, isn't it?" He questioned and then chuckled bitterly, as if hurt. I shut my eyes, wincing and suspecting how he must have been feeling. It wasn't that he was lying, at this rate, I could not stop myself from wondering if the moon goddess was playing any tricks on both of us. "You have to do something Killain. You cannot just send Luna away like that." I scolded him and he scoffed, before turning around to face me, his eyes flickering. "And who are you to start telling me what to do now?" He asked through gritted teeth and I let out a weary sigh, facepalming myself and making a decision. I sure wasn't going to make a silly mistake like the last time. "No." I muttered under my breath, clenching my hands tightly into fists. "Killain, if you don't act fast, I would snatch her.' I told him and immediately, all sir around immediately went up 50 degrees, so cold and chilling that I was sure any normal person would feel it in their bones and shiver, but I wasn't any normal person, was I? "W-w-what did y-you j-just say?" Killain inquired, widening his balls at me as his jaw tightened but I just ignored him, and bowed a little. He was my superior after all. "Please, excuse me." I said and then walked out, despite he calling me to come back. The way, I was seeing this, Killian was surely going to make the same mistake again. ........ ........ It's been two days now, since either one of us set our sights on Luna who had been trying to find a way to see us but I didn't allow it, and neither did he. Killain was avoiding her, for the fear of doing something stupid due to the bond between them, while I on the other hand, was giving her a space. I mean it must be a lot to take it, considering I was her mate also. She must either be so disappointed, or hurt. Luna has always been crushing on Killian, ever since she knew the meaning. I watched her for years, trying to control these feelings and I was sure, Killain knew this too, which was why he had her sent to the faraway academy for years. He never checked on her, neither did he really allow her to come home for her break. "Another reason is you don't know how to face her, I can't believe your palms are so sweaty." Ryker whispered into my ears, scoffing. He was right though. "So, Dorian. What do you think about this?" Harry, one of the board of councils asked as he nudged me by my shoulder, bringing me back to earth. I stiffened, my eyes rolling to the back of my head, as I tried to remember what they were talking about. 'Shit.' I looked around to notice everyone holding their breath in await of my answer. I was the second in command after all. The current leader, our Alpha was just sitting, his hands folded across his chest as he glared at me like I had stolen something precious from him. "Whatever you choose is okay." I blurted out, before I could think, having no idea of such choice till Henry gave a nod of acknowledgement and spoke again. "Alright then, it is settled. Alpha Dorian shall get married to millennium, princess Aurora." Henry announced, sending waves of electricity bolts through my body. Dorian? Getting married to Aurora? That b***h? "Impossible!" I got up immediately and growled, startling everyone, except Killain who just looked at me with a bored expression, not saying anything. "The bastard." I cursed, gripping my pen hard and then snapping it into two.
