I tightened my grip on Everette’s hand. I had no idea what to expect or how Liam would react. He seemed so explosive at times. He reminded me of a ticking time bomb, but the numbers were so sporadic, it was hard to know when he’d go off. Everette opened the door and pulled me inside with him. I swallowed. Everything would be okay, right? “Father, we need to speak with you,” Everette said, his tone as icy as before. Liam motioned toward the two seats across from his desk.
