I expected something instant to happen. Kinsley bit him and I anticipated his to sit up, to talk and be back to normal, but that didn’t happen. Nothing happened. Could we have been too late, even for a vampire? Kinsley told us to have patience. Vampire venom takes time to spread and change the body.
I leaned back in the seat and sighed. It had been about a half hour already. Mum hadn’t come back yet. The bite marks are visible from the couch. They were small though and almost invisible to an untrained eye. Kinsley sat beside me and Everette stood by the door with his arms crossed.
“How long?” I asked, my eyes on Zander. Thirty minutes felt like an eternity. Internally, I was going crazy. My stomach felt twisted in anticipation. I wanted him now.
