ZARA’S POV The white ceramic teacup was already full, but my hand wouldn’t stop pouring. Stream rose in a thick cloud, carrying the rich, sweet scent of hot cocoa, but my eyes were completely unfocused. I was staring straight through the kitchen wall, my mind trapped in a terrifying, endless loop of the same questions that had kept me awake for the last seventy-two hours. Three days.
