My eyes flutter, and my body jerks, I bolt upright to a sitting position. Opening my eyes, I take in my surroundings. Confusion washes over my mind as I look around in a foggy haze. My heart pounds in my chest because I don't know where I am. Sitting up, I rub my throbbing temples and the memory of the past twenty-four hours, comes crashing through my thoughts. Looking around the empty room, I wonder how long I've slept. The sound of heavy footsteps draws my eyes to the left. Jen walks into the room. A smile spreads across her lips as she approaches. "Do you feel better, dear?" Jen asks, patting my shoulder. "You slept through lunch. Are you hungry? Can I get you something?" "No, I'm not really hungry." "I'm drinking a cup of coffee and eating a doughnut. Would you like to join me?
