Chapter 22 The circular outlines of the traffic lights were hazy and nearly conjoined as best Sean’s weary eyes could decipher. He used the palm of his hand to tug at his lower eyelid in an effort to keep his right eye open enough to read the street signs. It was very late by the time he’d finally arrived in Traverse City. Despite the darkness and the humidity that his windshield defroster battled, he could tell that upstate Michigan was lush with heavy trees and occasional wide open areas nestled in between them.
