A car sped smoothly along the road when, out of nowhere, two other cars swerved in and blocked its path.
“What’s going on? Why did we stop?” Daniel asked, lifting his head from his phone.
“I don’t know, sir. But… we’re being blocked,” the driver replied nervously.
“Blocked? By who? Who the hell are they?” Daniel snapped. “Get down and find out what’s happening.”
The driver hesitated but obeyed. He opened the door and stepped out, only for a deafening gunshot to ring out.
Daniel froze. His eyes widened in shock as he peered out of the window, only to see his driver sprawled on the ground, lifeless, a pool of blood spreading beneath him.
Before Daniel could react, his car door was yanked open. A man wearing a facemask grabbed him roughly and dragged him out.
