Brielle The joint training camp started on a Monday. The location was about thirty minutes outside the city, a wide, flat property with obstacle courses, open sparring rings, and one very large registration hall that smelled like old wood and floor wax. Teams from six different packs showed up over the course of the morning, arriving in clusters, sizing each other up while pretending not to. Our group was small. It was just the seven academy students and me. We'd spent the previous week running drills after school until everyone moved like they'd been doing it for years instead of just mere days.
