The hotel room wasn’t the best, but it was the best I could find with such a short notice. With all my money, I would have given Carly the best of the best if I could help it. But the room would do. All I wanted was to be with her, and now that we were here in the room together, I had gotten my wish.
I was so f*****g glad she’d said yes. Now I just had to make her keep saying it.
“Will you stay the night with me?” I asked as soon as we walked through the doors.
“I thought that was why I’m here,” she said.
I smiled. “I didn’t want to assume.”
