Siin in Congo

" I will really love love to know about her. I have heard just so little things about her. My greatest Joy is that all the things I ever heard about her are good things and nothing short that. Many people avoided me for reasons best known to them. It hurt me so much and gave me a traumatic past. It was the glory of the pearl that brought it's healing to me" said Siin and sighed in a sober reflection of his past.  " Yes Siin. I don't pretend to have my grudges with you got taking away Fidelia from us. The whole villagers also had their grudges with you . But I believe we all know better. I have come to realize that it's not a child s fault that it's mother dies in childbirth.its no one's fault. Forgive me for treating you badly my son." Said Ummee and bent her face to the ground in guilt.  " That's no problem my monther. The past is already behind us . We must make the best out of the presence. That's the only way our scares can heal. I am just glad that a lot of people are now doing away with most of those cultures of theirs. In the western world and other developed countries of the world. A lot of old cultures have been shoved in the can so that it could blend with the ever changing world. Stagnation of norms and believes would always result in backwardness." Said Siin as he made a gesture with his hands. " Yes this is true. I believe you totally. If the norms and believes were so perfect after all . They would have known the true essence of peace and harmony, yet all they do is fight and fight. My boys would have been alive today if it wasn't for this wars that were championed by greed and an unhealthy rush for diamonds. " Said Ummee who could no longer hold in her tears. Siin knew what was going through her mind. He could see the pain in eyes and how every drop of tears failed to wash away the imprints of the sad memories that made her cry.  " My mother. You must be strong. I know how painful it is to loose six brothers. They are my blood to. However I could only imagine the pain you feel loosing six sons. Indeed our family has been greatly crippled and only the hands of time can wipe our tears. My mother. Please allow time to heal you to. We must never be defeated. Only you is our father and our mother now. You must know that you live for a greater cause than yourself. It's time to let go of the pain in your heart and accept reality for what it is. Our heroes are gone but never forgotten. If you keep on hurting all day and holding grudges with the government and the people. You will find it difficult to forgive and move on. Perhaps I think you should forgive them not for their sakes but for our sake . So that you can purge out the pain in your heart and move on with life . Please my mother .Think of Zodwa and Nadile. Think of what would happen to them if you are no more. " " Their lives won't stop if i die today." Said Ummee in resentment to the notion of forgiveness
