" Okay. If that is what you really want then. You are free to keep your distance. But don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need any help at all." Said in defeated voice once again before handing over Mahir to Ramlah and took his leave while Ramlah was mute in sadness rather than doggedness.
Siin was infuriated by the conditions of things in his life. She hadn't even cared enough to ask him why he was putting an a dark shade google. A typical Ramlah from the good old days would have asked in care and concern to why he wore the Glasses in the absence of Sun. But she clearly ignored the irregularities cause she didn't care bother. Or maybe she didn't even notice. All this Thoughts and more kept on swirling around Siins mind and he couldn't seem to get it off his mind. He needed a sense of normalcy in his life and the first step to achieving this feat ,was get rid of Baichi Gwana so the list could be mopped quickly and only then can he know his faith Kaltumi. Paying fake business visits to the Great Zaylan towers in the past days, had proved to Siin that Baichi was either on leave or had gone into hiding to safeguard his life from whoever it was that was trailing it. Siin was prepared for such a move after goofing the first attempt which almost cause him his eyesight and also his life. He had also discreetly found out the address of Baichi Gwana from a fellow customer who knew nothing about the reason of which he was asked the question. Siin was sure that asking staff about the address of Baichi would blow his cover as the staffs may get suspicious and inform Baichi about the development. But they customers who knew very much had not been informed about the attack , this they were at ease to give his address freely when Siin had asked for it so that he could pay him a courtesy visit.
[Hour later]
For the plan at hand. The dark hours was not suitable for Siin to excute his plan. A pizza delivery boy at night would always raise suspicion he thought. And decided the evenings were good enough. He had earlier bought pizza delivery cloth from the boutique that sold used clothes. He had also bought several cattons of pizza which he intended to deliver at Baichis house. All set, he got a black coat and wore it over the pizza delivery shirt so no one could see what it was he was wearing. He headed out to the road and boarded a cab while making sure the Cartons of pizza where hidden discreetly in a suitcase.
" 14 Allen Maureen avenue. " Said Siin as he sat in the back of the car.
"'Okay sir." Said the cabman as he tried ti make out the face of Siin from the mirror but couldn't due to the dark google he was wearing.
" How was your day.? Sir." Said the driver with a warm smile . He was a young man in his late twenties and Siin felt he had a good home training due to the manner of hospitality he projected unlike other can drivers of his age.
" My day was fine. How is business today." Said Said also returning the warm smile
" Business is great. It could be better though. There have been lots of influx of taxidrivers to the City. The wage rate has really dropped. We have no choice but to keep working." Said The cabman as he drove with an air of ease.
" I hear this such complains from most of the taxi drivers I come accross. I personally think you guys are toppled upon because you lack unity. Isn't it high time you all formed a union and ask for a more fair wage. Your problems would never get solved unless you all can unite to speak in a single voice." Said Siin as he suited the artificial beards and moustache which he had glued to his face to altar his looks.
" Wow .that's a great idea. You know I have always thought of this idea, but actually it's more difficult to execute than you think. Our major problems are not even the original owners of the cars. Some of us had worked hard and bought their own cars have sworn not to abolish the miserly wage system. They also want to rip off their fellow men as they were ripped by their own bosses." Said the cabman as he wielded the steering.
" Those guys can't be in the category of people like you. Take it or leave it. They have paid their dues and are now masters of their own. What you must do Is to get like minds like you and Stand against them. " Said Siin with little seriousness to his tone.
" You are right sir. I think I need to champion this movement. I used to be a respected comrade back at my days at school. I grew soft and forgot who I was. It's really time I brought back the old days." Said the cabman in a sober tone.
" That's the only part to salvation. Otherwise you all will keep suffering without anything to show for it. " Said Siin as he turned to his view to gaze at the mirror.
" I agree with you sir . Thank you very much for the motivation. I needed it. Just leave the rest me." Said the cabman as he nodded vigorously in retribution of having been too patient with his capitalist boss.
" You welcome. I think Allen avenue is just by the corner. I will drop here. A little over that alley. " Said Siin as he pointed to queit alley.
" Okay sir. Sure . I will just pack immediately." Said the Cabman as he wielded the steering and slowly applied the brakes till the car came to a halt.
" Great. Here is just perfect. How much is my bill please. " Siin asked and took out his wallet.
" The bill is on me sir. " Said the Cabman with a smile.
" That's generous of you. However you will also need resources to pull up any struggle. So how much is my bill? " Said Siin with a smile .
" Okay sir . If you insist. It's 3 Dollars only. " Said the Cabman.
" Here you are . Keep the change as my own to support to your glorious cause. Said Siin and handed a fifty dollar note to the Cabman who was dumbfounded by the act.
" Sir! This is a fifty dollar note you just gave me. " Said the driver , with eyes wide open in shock.
" I'm very much aware of what I gave you. Have a great day sir." Said Siin and got out of the car.
" My name is Kahn. What's your name Sir" said the cab man as he pushed his head out of the window to establish a facial familiarity with Siin."
" My name is Abdel." Said Siin as he walked into the empty alley to take of his dark coat.
" Thank you Mr Abdel. You a good man." Said the cabman and zoomed off joyfully.
Without delay, Siin took of his dark coat and kept it aside. He took out the pizza from the airtight suitcase and was very much Happy that It was still hot and had a perfect Aroma. He took the coat and shoved it in his suitcase before keeping it neatly at a discreet corner or the road. He held the boxes of pizza and headed straight to Baichis house which was just about a minute walk from the Alley.
As soon as he was at the entrance to Baichis house he pressed the knob by the door and bell alarm went to off. Signifying to the owners of the house that they had a visitor. Siin could hear quick footsteps and soon the door was opened. A little cute girl was not who Siin was expecting to meet. She was about the age of three years and had the same oval face like her Baichi. Siin quickly concluded that the little girl was the daughter of Baichi, even though she was very much beautiful and her father was not.
" Mom it's the pizza man. Said " the little girl in excitement. A young woman within the age of twenty three to twenty four years came to see who it was that the little girl had been talking to.
" Good evening madam. I am here to deliver a pizza to Mr Baichi and family. On behalf of the great Sheik Al Hozayn. " Said Siin as he likened the girls beauty to that of her mom.
" Oh mine. Because I knew I didn't other for any pizza. The General is so kind. He never gets tired. " Said the woman with a warm smile.
" Indeed he is a generous man. Please can you call in Mr Baichi to Sign on this paper here. " Said Siin as he rooted to see Baichi.
" Yes. Sure .let me call him. Just a minute."said the lady and went back into the house.
" Pizza Pizza. I love pizza." Said the young girl as she ran around in circles , hands stretchd side ways like an aeroplane. Siin took his gaze of the girl and focused it on the nearest tree he could find. He was still trying hard to figure out the pictures of the leaves in his head when there was a light tud on his leg.
" Pizza man, please would play football with me. I'm so lonely and have no friends today. Father says I must be indoors. " Said the little girl who had just kicked a ball to Siin.
" Sure. I will. But just for a short while. I will soon be leaving." Said Siin and softly kicked the ball at the little girl amidst the feeling of de javu that had encapsulated him. He knew the feeling of being lonely as a little child. The pain of not having a mother and not having a parent was one which he didn't wish for his enemies and faith had come to test him once again. Still lost in a thought of questioning his essence.
