Siin was pause for a while  before sighing and finally spoke  "Indeed a Messiah might just be needed. But what stops you from becoming a Messiah yourself. You may just be the change we yearn for. You never can tell till you try. " Said Siin as he glimpsed to see the reaction of the man who smiled so heartily. " Sir. Had I Known you more I would have concluded that you are a prophet. How did you Know I am a top political aspirant. Well when i say top , I mean in mind not in the pocket. I have always wanted to be a governor or maybe a Chairman . Sir even a councilor would be a dream come true. Yet I am afraid that without money no one can win anything in this country. " Said the Cabman and laughed a little. " How so? I thought elections where free and fair in Africa. " Said Siin with a fake grin on his face. " What ! Sir are you kidding me or are you just practicing your banters with me. " Said the Cabman as he laughed loudly till he began to cough. " I don't know about other African countries but elections in Congo are far from being free and fair. There exist a diamond rush amongst top politicians here. Everyone wants to have a piece of the mining area at Libraville. I believe that is where the largest diamonds in the world was found. In Congo people would go any length to lay their hands on diamonds. And when I mean any length. I mean any length at all." Said The man with all seriousness. " I see . So Congo still has diamonds till now. One would have thought that the diamonds would have been dug up clear by now." Said Siin and took of his glass in the light of new interest to the topic of diamonds. " Sir. The European experts did a research. They said that till now . Not up to ten percent of the Diamonds in Congo have been found. Just imagine all the rest of the ninety percent scattered across the plains and mountains of Congo. Who knows ? _ maybe as we are driving this moment. The earth beneath our tires are filled with diamonds." Said The cabman. " Wow that's a lot of potential. Sad to think it could only be unleashed by joining politics." Said Siin , showing more interest in the discussion. " I'm telling you. That's why every election Season. I contest to just to try my luck. Maybe one day my popularity would surfice where my money has failed short. " Said the Cabman as he drove across the road. " If mandates are for sale in this town. How much would it cost to buy a chairmanship slot. " Said Siin with a sense of seriousness. " One million francs and a man like me would be crowned chaiman of Lukaku Local government. For a novice, I'm afraid he may not win even with double that amount. I'm very much popular, everyone knows Papa jalo the famous Cabman and serial politician. With some monetary support. I would win for sure." Said Papa Jalo and nodded slowly. " I will put your popularity to a test. If you are as popular and experienced as you say you are. Then I will sponsor you. Mind you , you going are going to be my puppet you will do all I say you should do. I don't care about the salary you will get from the work. I have bigger fishes to catch. " Gracious goodness sir. Are you serious about such a generous offer. " Said Papa Jalo and applied the breaks to the car, bringing the vehicle to a halt. " Damn it man. Do you want to kill us.?" Said Siin as gyrated forward and finally back, from the impact of the sudden brakes. " Sorry about that sir. The brakes are standard. They never fail. " Said the driver as he quickly turned to the back sit to face Siin. " Well no need to apply the brakes for no reasons." Said Siin with a quite a stern voice. " Forgive me sir. It wont repeat itself again. The offer you speak about sir, I'm really very much interested. It's not about being rich to me. It's just about achieving a childhood dream sir. I will be eternally grateful. " Said Papa Jalo almost breaking down in tears. " I'm not a good man. I think of my self first..if our deals go through, we both would be better off for it. But if you try to betray my trust . I will have no choice but to kill you. Is that clear ? "Said Siin. " Very clear sir. Thank you very much. I would never betray you." Said Papa Jalo almost bursting into tears. " Let's good. Now take me to Lukaku. I hear of a Fula Safari hotel. They say it's among the best here. That's where we are heading to." Said Siin as he hawked the sorroundings with his sight. " Very true. The Fula Safari is the no doubt, the best hotel in Lukaku. They have lots of Europeans and it is managed by a white person. The Europeans do a great job in managing things." Said Papa Jalo, as he kicked started the car and began to drive again. " Yes so I heard." Said Siin he kept on looking out of the window in wonder to the contrast between Salda Kalif and Zaire. The quality of roads and insfrastructure had refused to come close in Siins comparisons. To him one looked like heaven and the other did not. Twenty minutes later, Papa jalos Peugeot 505 arrived at a market which appeared to be very crowded. He had used the benefits of Siins lack of familiarity to drive him to the market just to prove to Siin that he was as popular as he claimed he was. " So the Fula Safari is situated inside a market.? " Siin asked with sense of curiosity in his tone. " Not at all. I just wanted to get my tire fixed. It needs just some air and that would not take much time. " Said Papa Jalo.
