A gift of luster

Siin had awoke to the gift of a car from his new father . It was a black mustang which was driven by one of the several drivers in the Kings mansion and brought straight to him at the facility. As soon as the driver handed over the key to him. He gave him a an envelope to which contained a note that read. : " Dear Son. Hope you are doing good. I know how you like to maintain a modest lifestyle but o will very much like you to have this car. Use it instead of taking trains and buses. I'm not very sure you know how to drive one. But Huzaifa who is one of my most experience drivers would come every weekend to teach you how to drive. Take care of yourself. Your sisters send their regards to. " "The Sheikh is such a good man. I'm blessed with a good father." Said Siin with a smile as concealed his excitement from Huzaifa who was a man in his late thirties, he was lagging in height but made it up with his speed and agility. " Oh yes Boss, your father is great man. He asked me to bring this car for you , his son. He keeps on telling us how Happy is to find you after all these years of being apart." Said Huzaifa with a giggle. " Haha , what a wise man indeed. It's just great to really know what a fatherly love feels like. " Said Siin as entered the car and placed his hands on the steering. The beauty of the car wowwed Siin a lot. The interior was adorned with beautiful leather, that was elegant yet modest. The outer part of the car was lustered in shiny black ink with some aspect of silver colour on the handles and window frame. " I will call my dad right away and thank him ." Said Siin and rushed into his room where the telephone was. He punched out the appropriate numbers and dialed away. Without any delay the Sheikh had picked up the call and two men began to interact. " Good morning Dad. Oh Dad I woke up to your gift. It's totally beautiful. How are you today Dad.?" " I'm glad you like it son. You should be cruising in a rolls Royce but then you don't fancy the loud lifestyle. I can't seat by and watch you jump from one bus to another. That mistang is modest enough. It's the latest model of what I got from my father during my eighteenth birthday. I pray cruising it would bring you so much joy as it brought me when I was much younger." Said the Sheikh in a resounding tone." " It's already making me feel so happy. Though I can't drive a car yet . I'm counting on the Expertise of Huzaifa to achieve that milestone. Dad, you don't sound sleepy I thought I woke you up. " Said Siin almost jokingly. " It's past 7 AM. Every day I wake up by 4 O'Clock. There's always lot of work to do and most nights I sleep by 12 pm. Sustaining greatness comes with a price and mostly time is the most expensive commodity any one can possess. " Said The Sheikh in jovial tone. " I agree with you Dad. However you must go to bed much earlier and also you must have enough sleep. We need to talk about this. All the money you make is good enough only when you alive . If you drop dead from exhaustion what would be your personal gain. Please Dad we need to cut down your schedules and reassign some not so tidious affairs to Minata, she is a graduate of havard. She needs an avenue to proove her worth to you . You can't be overly protective . The sooner you let her into the business , the better it is for her and all of us. " Said Siin with a humble manner. " Hmm. My boy , I understand where you are coming from. I know the need for my daughter's to get involved. But somethings are rather left the way they are for the betterment of others. Some days you will understand what I mean. Minata can be a given a Chance but Mariya, I will rather support her in line of expanding her restaurant chains. She's to frail hearted to be part of the Shagori empire ventures. " Said the Sheikh with a touch of seriousness in his tone. " Yes Dad. Mariya is very much happy running her restaurant. Minata on the other hand takes after your doggedness and wisdom. I have spoke to her severally and most time I speak to her , I feel like I am speaking to you . She loves very much. But deep down, she nurses a feeling of grudge. She yearns for an arena to show you that she can uphold the family name. She hurts, she wishes she was a male child. " Said Siin. " I know what she feels even if masks it with her smiles. Of all my four daughter , Minata is the one who cares and loves the most. When she was in a Havard there wasn't a day that passed without her calling me on the phone to ask how I was doing. She is very intelligent to . At a very young age, she knew I wanted male childs and began dressing in mail costumes. Hahaha very funny huh. She had written the military exams and passed without my knowing. I declined her and forbided her from joining the military. I see my self in her. But the society would never see her past the woman she is. Politics is a dirty game and so is my kind of business. I don't want my daughters to get hurt. In as much as Minata is courageous enough, I'm scared there would always be a soft feminine spot in her mind that may lead her to ruins. Most times I feel she should have studied medicine and managerial accounting. It's all my fault. I readied her for something that was never meant for her . We would need to talk in person my son. Come and see me on in the weekend. I will like to see you drive in that car soon." Said the Sheikh. " Okay Dad. Thank you very much once again . Your insights are always full of wisdom. I really am lucky to be Fathered by such a great man like you." Said Siin In humble voice. " You flatter me my boy you really do. Lest I forget. The funeral of Charlotte the mother of your brother Mahir. Would be on Wednesday. The Australian ambassador has given the go ahead of her rites to be carried out here instead to taking her back to Australia. They would all be present I will like you to come . Charlotte was a good woman. There hasn't been a night I sleep with crying in morning. She was my friend and companion. It's just unfair she had to leave so quick. Have a good day ahead son. Make me proud." Said The Sheikh whose tone had turned emotional voice. " I know this are trying tomes for you Dad. But I want you to know that I'm always by your side. We going to overcome together. May the soul of Charlotte rest in perfect peace. We would forever treasure the gift she left behind." Said Siin. " Thank you my son. I'm very glad you are in my life at this moment of grief. May the good Lord bless and protect you for me." Said the Sheikh. " And you to Dad . And you to." Said Siin before hanging up the call. He headed outside where Huzaifa stood in wait for him. " Huzaifa thank you for conveying father's gift to me I'm really grateful. I will like you to come Saturday morning. I will shift all my appointments to Monday so.i would have to work a lot this week. I believe we can make a speedy progress if I'm serious enough right. " Said Siin to Huzaifa. " Yes off course. Driving cars is much simpler than driving bicycles. All you need are the basics and you are good to go. However it has more risk thank driving a bicycle hahaa. So caution and care must be applied." Said Huzaifa as shaked his head like some one dancing to the rhythm of the flute. " Yes I know that . I don't plan on the rushing the process. And I don't plan on wasting time on it either. Come back on Saturday mornings. I will like to drive myself to the Shagori towers on Sunday." Said Siin and stretched forward a 50 dollar tip to Huzayfah who wasted no time in collecting it. " Thank you very much young boss. I will do as you have said. First thing on Saturday I will be here Waiting for you. I believe you can learn a lot in a short time." Said Huzaifa with a smile of gratitude. " Well I believe I can learn it all in a short time . " Said Siin and took his leave. " Yes ofcourse sir." Said Huzaifa in a skeptical manner. The notion that Siin was trying to rush the process of learning how to drive did not go down well with him due to the fact consequences of bad driving. But he had heard rumors from fellow workers that Siin was man of high intelligence , thus he may just prove them right in the coming weekend. He shoved the fifty dollar bill in his pocket and headed back to the Sheikhs mansion to commence his duties for the day.
