I'm in Love

Chapter 3

Today I woke up a bit early and I decided to make breakfast for everyone.

Toast ✔

Coffee ✔

Tomatoes ✔

Avocado ✔

Bacon ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔

Now i just need to finish scrambling the eggs.

"Morning princess." My father's morning voice is so rough.

"Good morning daddy." I say and place a plate in front of him.

My father and I have a great relationship, he is serious but he likes making jokes and I think that's why my mother fell for him.

"Good morning." My mother says as she takes a seat next to my father on the couch and I bring her a plate as well.

"Morning mommy." I say

My mother is like my best friend but sometimes she can be my worst enemy as well. My mother and I look exactly the same apart from her being older than me.

"Good morning everyone where is my food?" My sister Layla asks.

I give her plate to her and she takes a seat on another couch.

Layla and I are ten years apart, she looks like a younger version of me.

I grab my plate and go sit with my family. We eat and talk about random stuff.

My father is a doctor and my mother is a stay at home mom. She doesn't want to be but my father doesn't want to get a nanny and he doesn't really want my mother to work even though she has a degree in systems development.

"Mommy get ready we need to go to the mall and please don't take forever." I say and she gives me the evil look.

But she takes her plate in and goes to her room to get ready. Layla and I go to her room and I take out clothes for her to wear while she takes a bath.

Layla and i share a bathroom while my mother and father share a bathroom. I go to our bathroom and take a quick shower. Layla goes back to her room and gets herself ready while I walk to my room in a towel.

When I open my closet I decide to wear a black skinny jeans, a white shirt, black and white sneakers and a necklace with my name on it. I pull my hair into a bun and grab a few thing to put in my bag then i go to my mothers room.

She is ready and a knock on the door grabs my attention. I walk to the door and open it. There stands Emma in a black ripped jeans, a white shirt and black flats. We match!

"Hi Girl." I say with a huge smile on my face.

"Hey I need to ask you something." She says and pulls me to the couch.

"What's wrong?" I ask and she shakes her head with a smile on her face.

"Last night after you left, Mason asked for my number." She says

"Did you give it to him?" I ask and she nods

"Do you smell that?" I ask and make like I smell something amazing.

"No what?" She asks confused

"Love is in the air." I say and laugh while she softly hits my arm.

"What about you? I saw how you were blushing for Mr. Knight." She says and I look around and shush her.

"It's just a crush it will go away soon." I say but I know that I'm lying

This doesn't just feel like a crush it feels like something more.

Don't get your hopes up.

Shut up stupid inner voice!

Then Nicki Minaj's Megatron starts playing from my phone. Best ringtone ever!

"Hello?" I say

"Good morning Annalise I hope I'm not intruding?" Xaviers beautiful voice asks and I almost scream my lungs out.

I didn't think he would actually call.

"No, not at all." I say and run to my room and lock the door.

"I hope you slept well." He says

"I actually did how about you?" I ask

"I couldn't stop thinking about you." He says and it surprises me.

"Would you like to go out on a date with me?" He asks and my eyes grow wide and my moth drops open.

What!? This was unexpected

"This is unexpected." I say

"Yeah I know but I want to get to know you." He says and I find myself blushing.

"Okay when and where?" I ask

"Are You busy tonight?" He asks

"No." I say

"Tonight send me your address and I'll come pick you up at 7pm." He says

"Okay what should I wear?" I ask

What if its a formal place and I wear something casual or a casual place and i wear something formal. The people will think I'm a freak.

"Something comfortable. Are you allergic to anything?" He asks

"No I can eat everything." I say

"See you later, send me your address." He says

"Okay See you soon." I say and hang up.

I send him my address anfter doing a small happy dance around my room.

I'm going on a date.

I go to my mother's room and walk in on her and my father kissing.

"Eew stop." I say and cover my eyes.

"You are 20 you should be used to this by now." My father says

"I need to talk to my parents not the teenagers." I say and open my eyes to see them sitting on the bed looking at me.

I walk over and sit between them.

"I'm going on a date tonight." I say

"What!? And you're only telling us this now?" My father is first to speak.

"David let her finish." My mother says

"His name is Xavier and I really like him. We want to get to know each other." I say

"Is he your boyfriend?" My father asks

"No just my friend." I say

"Where are you going?" My mother asks

"I'm not sure he just told me to wear something comfortable, so maybe a movie." I say

"Fine is he going to pick you up?" My father asks

"Yip, mommy why aren't you saying anything?" I ask

"I'm thinking. You can go its fine but keep your pepperspray on you." She says and I nod

"Can we go now he's coming at 7pm. Oh and don't tell Emma anything I want the date to go smoothly then I'll tell her if we become something." I say and they nod.

"Next time you two want to do something lock the door please my virgin eyes can't take anymore." I say a but dramatically

"As far as I know Emily and I have a licence to kiss." My father says and I grab my mother's hand and lead her out.

We get into my mothers car and go to the mall.
