The White House.
“Why are you looking at me like that? Spit it out,” the president said.
The national security advisor scowled at him.
“You arrogant son of a b***h. Well, it’s out now. The NSA and CIA have confirmed it.”
“Confirmed what?”
“One of the CIA operatives working your little pet project has been seen on camera, and identified.”
“Wait. Seen on camera doing what?”
“Seen on camera leaving the scene where a nuclear device was pulled from the water in coastal Pakistan and loaded onto a flatbed truck. He’s the driver. He was caught on a security camera.”
The president took a seat and buried his face in wrinkling hands.
