66 THE PORT Port of Brunswick, Colonel’s Island Terminal, Oglethorpe Bay. About seventy-eight miles south of Savannah, Georgia. The second largest “roll on, roll off” port in the country, the port of Brunswick, Georgia sprawled before their eyes. A parking lot with thousands of newly imported cars, each covered in white, stick-down plastic, engulfed a mass of acreage.
