"No! We're leaving right now. Get the private jet ready, Yolanda," Maximo said angrily. Yolanda, meanwhile, was crying uncontrollably while embracing Dana, who was kneeling beside her grandfather's bed. She was pleading with them to remove the baby from her womb. They became furious upon learning she was pregnant and she confessed that she didn't know who the father was because she lied that she’s drunk and didn't recognize the man. Her grandfather was furious, but they refused to let him get rid of the baby. They insisted on letting it stay, but she would need to go away to secretly carry the baby.
She was expecting that, but when she mentioned she had leukemia, so she couldn't carry the baby there, she broke down completely. Shock registered on their faces until her grandmother burst into tears, immediately embraced by Odette to calm her down. She was hysterical from crying so much.
"I won't allow you to just die. We have a lot of money, and if I need to spend it all, I will. You will not die, and neither will my grandchild, remember that, Dana."
"Grandpa..."
"Listen, we'll do everything your grandfather says to make you better. We're leaving. We're leaving, dear," Yolanda said. Dana nodded, hugging her grandmother closely.

"Has Grandpa Max been discharged from the hospital yet?" Dylan asked as Celine and him were having dinner at a fine dining restaurant.
"Oh, Grandpa has been discharged, didn't Daddy mention it to you? Actually, Grandpa and Grandma have already left. They're planning a vacation for Grandpa's full recovery."
"They left? Where are they going?"
"Maryland."
"Perfect, I'm going to Maryland next week. I'll visit them when I have free time—"
"No! no..." Celine quickly interjected, dropping her fork.
"What's the problem? Is it not allowed for me to visit them?"
"It's not that, it's just that their departure was kept secret."
"Ah, I see. But I don't think it's a big deal if I visit them there."
"Well, okay, just let me know so we can go together."
"Did they have companions when they left, or was it just them and Grandma?"
"Well, they had a doctor and a nurse with them," Dylan nodded. He thought Dana was with them when they left. Perhaps Dana had told the two elders about her illness, so their departure was abrupt.
"By the way, I heard you bought a condo at Blue Pearl. I wish you had told me you were looking for a condo; I could have offered you my friend's condo that's also for sale," Dylan raised his eyebrows. How did Celine find out about his condo purchase? Was she keeping tabs on him? He set down his utensils, glaring at her. He hated being monitored and having his actions scrutinized.
"How did you find out I bought a condo?" It was obvious she was nervous as he looked at her. She knew his rules from before they were even engaged: never interfere in his life.
"Well, it just so happened that the owner of those buildings is a friend of a friend."
"Friends of friends... I heard that the Servantes own the condominiums. I just forgot to ask you about it."
"Really? What's the name?"
"I forgot..." Dylan pretended to ponder.
"Dhalia... Daisy... Dana, I don't know. I wasn't the one who transacted with Felix," Dylan replied, waiting for Celine's reaction, which was visibly nervous.
"Maybe it's just a common surname. There are many people with the same last name," Celine smiled.
"Maybe. I didn't meet them, and I wasn't interested in whether they were related to you or not," Dylan chuckled.
"By the way, I heard some weird news because many things are surfacing now, and the election is approaching. Since you're here, just for confirmation."
"What is it?"
"Do you have a sibling, like an illegitimate one?"
"What?" Celine laughed lightly. "I just heard that story, well, I know it's not true because if it were, I would have met your sibling, right?"
"Of course. Many people are trying to tarnish Papa's reputation."
"I thought so, but it's still best to inform Uncle Damian about what I heard so he can prepare if it ever becomes an issue."
"Well, there's nothing wrong if it surfaces because it's not true. My God! I'm the only Servantes in our family,"
Dylan nodded firmly. Dylan held his tablet tightly. It confirmed that Maximo, Yolanda, and Dana did leave the country. They used a private jet, ensuring no trace of Dana accompanied them.
He wasn't sure about the reason for their departure. Were they taking Dana for treatment or hiding her because the election was approaching?
Damina Servantes wasn't listed in Dana's family registry. Yolanda and Maximo stood as her parents on the girl's birth certificate. They were really hiding Dana. Now he pitied her the most. After talking to Celine, he only then understood what Dana meant about her life being disrupted if she forced herself into it. For 21 years of her life, she quietly hid behind the Servantes, and if he suddenly interfered in their lives, her hiding might be disrupted, and her life could become miserable.
He took a deep breath, hoping that her life would be better in Maryland or wherever she was. He hoped she would recover and be helped by her grandparents. He would back off as she wished. He wasn't fond of calling out to the heavens or praying, but he often expressed gratitude for all his blessings in life. But now, he wanted to wish for Dana's life to continue because she deserved to be happy after all.

"What? How come?" Dylan exclaimed in surprise when Felix said that Yolanda Servantes was reportedly dead. They would bring her body back to Texas for burial. It had been 2 years since they left, and this was supposed to be the year of his wedding with Celine.
"Heart attack, sir. They learned that someone manipulated Dana Servantes' laboratory examination," Dylan frowned.
"Dana Servantes doesn't have leukemia, sir... Celine paid for the fake result," Dylan's eyes narrowed upon hearing this, but why was her nose bleeding that night, and why did she feel nauseous and dizzy?
"How did they find out?"
"They've known for a long time, right after they took Dana to Maryland, but there was no confrontation, so the old Servantes had it investigated. However, even the investigation was blocked and manipulated by Celine and her father, so it took a while for the truth to come out."
"Are you saying Dana's own family is their enemy?" Dylan asked incredulously.
"I believe so, sir... Inheritance dispute seems to be the reason."
"How could there be an inheritance dispute?"
"Nothing was left for Damian Servantes in the inheritance from Maximo and Yolanda. All the properties and assets went to Dana, including the land you bought from the Servantes, which is under Dana's name. Apparently, there was no agreement about that land. Damian only held a special power of attorney, so he was able to sell you the land without the elderly's consent," Dylan's head suddenly started throbbing from all the information.
"Why did Dana suddenly inherit everything if she's just Damian's daughter?"
"Damian Servantes is only an adopted member of the Servantes family. Dana is actually the biological child of Maximo and Yolanda Servantes. Rica Salvador was Don Maximo's former secretary. She was just a surrogate mother who carried a healthy embryo of Doña Yolanda Servantes. She had an affair with Damian during that time, so Damian thought the child was his. The two elders just upheld that belief."
"Are you saying that the two elders hid Dana's true identity from their own family?"
"Yes, for protection, so their family wouldn't meddle with Dana. But I think the old man's patience ran out, so the truth that Dana is the only true Servantes exploded on them."
"So, Dana isn't sick."
"No, sir, but she won't come back to Texas for her mother's funeral," Dylan frowned.
"Why?"
"That's what I don't know, sir. All I know is that only Don Maximo will return with his wife's body."
"What will happen to Celine's family?"
"There's no news yet, but they surely will get what they deserve if Don Maximo takes action. "
Dylan couldn't believe what he heard. He never imagined that Damian's family would also be greedy for money. He had always thought that the land he bought belonged to Damian. This meant trouble for them in the land sale, especially since there is the true owner right when the construction was nearing completion.
The original plan was to hold their wedding at the opening of the amusement park. However, due to Doña Yolanda's death, that plan seemed unlikely now. Dylan was certain that Don Maximo would create a big problem because of what happened to his wife. If he were in Don Maximo's shoes and his daughter Dana was sabotaged by the family he recognized, he would make sure they paid dearly for their manipulation.
"Set me a meeting with Damian Servantes. I will hand over all my assets to them; I don't want to get involved in their messy family affairs."
"What about your wedding to Celine, sir? Everything is already arranged?"
"Do you think I will still get married after their family chaos? No! Over my dead body! I will fight for the amusement park. I have already paid billions of dollars to the Servantes; they can't take the land back from me." Dylan's anger erupted, slamming the table.
"Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t!" Damian kept cursing as he walked back and forth inside the library. His father was starting to take action, planning to remove all the major assets under his name.
"What are we going to do, Damian?" Zarina asked angrily.
"Ask your clever daughter. It's her fault everything went to hell," Damian angrily pointed at Celine, who had been crying all this time.
"What were you thinking when you did that? My God! Do you think Dana won't tell Dad and Mom about her illness?"
"She kept it Mom, so I didn't know why she said it. I thought she was just quietly waiting for her death like a fool."
"i***t!" Damian yelled angrily. "You're so stupid! Before doing something foolish, you should have told us. Not when Dad and Mom are already investigating, then you admit your mistake. You're a fool."
"I'm sorry, Dad."
"Sorry! What sorry... Do you know that even the Lagdameos are pulling out all their assets from us? And you think there won't be any consequences for your actions."
"Dad! My wedding can't be canceled. The whole business world knows about our wedding, even my friends. They'll laugh at me—"
"Damian," Zarina shouted loudly, hugging her daughter tightly as Damian slapped Celine hard.
"Get that woman away from me, she's bad luck."
"Will you calm down..."
"How can I calm down! Your daughter's fault is why we're losing everything. I worked hard for everything I have, but in an instant, it's all gone, and I found out that Dana is actually Dad and Mom's child. Tell me how I'm supposed to calm down when she's the real Servantes and I'm just an adopted child."
"Then kill your father before he takes away all your rights to the assets."
"You're still a fool, just like your mother. Your daughter takes after you. Are you suggesting that I become a killer... Both of you leave before I end up killing you the two of you!"
"Talk to Dylan, maybe he can help us."
"How will he help us? He was the first to back off because he didn't want to get involved. Money is all that matters to that person, Zarina. That's why he agreed to marry Celine without any hesitation because earning money is what matters to him. Do you think he'll still help us he’s cunning than Dad? Dylan is even more cunning."
"Now, taste your foolishness, Celine. Pray that your grandfather will have mercy on you. Because if not, we'll each go our separate ways."
"Damian."
"I'm just telling the truth, Zarina, because I can't endure being with you. You give me a headache," Damian said before leaving the mother and daughter in the library.
"Mama, how can I get married? I want to marry Dylan."
"I don't know, Celine. This is your fault. I told you before to get pregnant and seduce Dylan."
"How can I do that, ma? He didn't even kiss me. How much more s*x," Celine protested.
"I thought you said Dana would get pregnant. What happened? All your plans to ruin her failed. If only you had told me, maybe none of this would have happened. We could have resolved everything without all of this mess," her mother lamented.
"What should I do, mama?"
"Go to Dylan. If you have to, strip in front of him. Beg him to continue the wedding. Beg for his mercy."
"But what if he doesn't want to, mama?"
"Then you lack patience. Why would you stop if he doesn't want to? Keep trying until he agrees. After all, you’re still a Servantes.”
"What if he meets Dana? What if he proposes to Dana because she's the one with money and the true Servantes? The only reason he would marry me is because I'm a Servantes and he needs our land."
"He won't meet Dana, your grandfather will surely hide her," Zarina confidently replied.
"She will surely challenge us, so we need to be prepared if she ever comes back.”
