Ava’s pov:
I sat on my bed, staring out the window. My thoughts were racing, and I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened at Liam's house. His dad's reaction to the photo of my grandfather had left me confused and afraid. What did it all mean? I wanted answers, but I wasn't sure where to start. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down.
I started getting ready for school, feeling a sense of dread in the pit of my stomach. Liam hadn't texted me all night, and I was starting to get worried. I pulled on my jeans and grabbed my backpack, feeling a sense of unease as I headed out the door. I felt like something bad was about to happen, but I didn't know what. I walked to school, lost in my thoughts.
As I walked through the halls of my school, I made my way to my dad's office.
