"Don't think I don't know you're watching. If you talk too much, your end might be like theirs!"
The words kept echoing in Farin's mind, leaving her unable to function. Her once vibrant face turned pale every time she thought of that incident. Even after several days, she couldn't shake the memory. She had only seen such things in movies and dramas, never imagining she would encounter them herself.
Music blared through the bustling club, colorful spotlights flashing dizzyingly around the space. In one corner, a slender figure sat lost in her world. Though the music was upbeat, it did nothing to lift her spirits.
"Rin, Rin!"
"Huh? What?" Farin jolted when her friend shouted in her ear, the music too loud for normal conversation.
"What's wrong with you? You've been sitting quietly for ages," Anna asked while pouring whiskey into a glass and pulling out something wrapped in brown paper.
"What's that, Ann?" Farin deflected, focusing instead on what had caught her attention.
"Something that'll make you lose yourself in fun."
"Fun?"
"Really. Want to try?" Anna mixed the white powder with the whiskey and slid it toward Farin. A slight smirk crossed her face, unnoticed by the other girl.
Farin looked at the glass before her, glancing between it and Anna, who was now passionately kissing her boyfriend without shame. She picked up the glass and downed it in one go.
"How is it?"
"It's bitter."
"You'll get used to it. Drink it often, and it'll become sweet," Anna added with a sly grin.
In truth, she and Farin weren't close at all. She had only invited Farin because it was her birthday today. She despised Farin more than anything, but the girl was too naive to notice the hostility of those around her.
"Uh... Anna, can I go to the bathroom first?"
"Sure, but hurry back. There's still lots of fun stuff for us to do." Anna's kindness was feigned; as soon as Farin turned away, she laughed with her friends, clearly satisfied with her plan.
Farin walked along the wall, feeling dizzy. Her dark brown eyes could barely focus, everything appearing blurry. Her body temperature seemed to rise with each step as if she were walking straight into a blazing fire.
She splashed water on her face, hoping the coolness would ease the heat in her body. But the relief lasted only a moment; within seconds, the burning sensation returned.
Her slender figure staggered out of the bathroom, her beautiful eyes darting around as she swallowed thickly. The heat coursing through her body gave her strange sensations she had never experienced before.
Suddenly, she felt a grip on her arm.
"Anna saw you were in the bathroom for a while, so she sent me to check on you," a man said as he grabbed her. She squinted, trying to focus her blurry vision on the man who claimed Anna had sent him.
"Rit?"
"Yes, it's me, Rit." He was Anna's boyfriend, the one who had been kissing her earlier. But why would Anna send her boyfriend to fetch another woman from the bathroom? Normally, Anna would get jealous if Rit even glanced at another woman, so this seemed strange.
"P-please let go of me, Rit." She tried to pull away, but he only tightened his grip.
"You don't look well. Should I help you sit down?"
"N-no need... just tell Anna that I'm leaving."
"Leaving already? We're all still having fun. Why don't you stay a bit longer, or maybe take a rest first?" Rit's words were accompanied by his hand sliding along her inner thigh. His touch sent shivers down her spine and left her breathless.
"R-Rit, let go of me."
"You don't look well. Do you need any help?"
"N-no... ugh!" His hand moved higher until it stopped beneath her breast.
"I think you need it."
"N-need... need what exactly?" Farin panted heavily, looking at him in confusion.
"Well..."
Rit gave a wicked smile, his gaze fixed hungrily on her heaving chest. The buttons of her white dress had come undone, revealing her cleavage. He swallowed hard, but before he could act, a voice interrupted.
"Did you even ask if she's okay with that?"
"Who are you?" Rit asked harshly, his face showing displeasure at the newcomer.
"Someone who knows about the nasty schemes of your despicable friends."
A beautiful woman in a tight black dress spoke, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall as she regarded Rit. She scanned him from head to toe with a smirk on her bright red lips. He might have looked good, but his character was anything but decent.
"What are you talking about? Do we know each other?"
"I don't particularly want to know you, but I can't stand seeing good people fall victim to bad ones."
"If we don't know each other, maybe you should mind your manners."
"And do you call what you're doing to her polite?"
"Don't test my patience! If you don't want trouble, don't meddle!" Rit's tone turned threatening as he pointed a finger at Jada, but instead of being scared, she smirked mockingly.
"Hmph... who do you think is really in trouble here? I think a kid like you should stop asking your parents for money before you threaten me."
"I've had enough!" Rit released Farin and rushed toward Jada, who stood her ground. His face, once filled with anger, slowly turned pale as something pressed against his stomach.
"Come any closer, and I can't promise which organ will get pierced."
"....." Rit swallowed hard, his eyes looking down fearfully at the black object pointed at him.
"Hmph... this is what they mean by being tough only with those who can't fight back. Oh, and I forgot to mention—this gun is fake." Jada sneered at Rit, brushed past him, and took Farin with her.
"W-where are you taking me?"
"You've been drugged with alcohol and sedatives, and you still haven't realized it."
Jada shook her head in disbelief. If she hadn't overheard what those brats were planning, this poor girl would have become infamous overnight. Who tells their boyfriend to harm a friend and then secretly films it to spread online?
