My chest caves in , my body straining against Kai's and a harsh breath of air leaves me . I flex my fingers , my nails digging into his forearm and the sound of Sage banging against the door turns muffled to my ears . I breathe out slowly , squeezing my eyes shut , drowning in the feeling of him wrapped around me , his warmth seeping into me , the feeling causing me to shiver . “Open the f*****g door , Skye !” Sage’s shrill voice pierces through the peace and I release a sharp breath , tensing against Kai . His arm wrapped around me flexes , pulling me flush against him and my breath hitches in my throat .
