“That would make my life easier… but I can’t think of it right now, I’ll consider the offer… on another day.” Thomas stumbled over his words, there were many things he had against his adoptive father. He knew for a fact he was being used but maybe there was this slight bit of hesitation within his voice because of other reasons. “Besides… even I’m not as cruel as to get rid of the man that raised me.” He continued while averting his gaze.
“You’re still hesitating, I suppose it shows you’re still young. I won’t push you any further but make sure not to make mistakes like before.” Lucas pulled back and turned around, he went to grab his cigarette box once more, pulling out a new one.
“Like before, huh… I guess I lived a pretty pathetic life, right?” Thomas
