And still instead of showing a pitiful expression Pesco showed a proud and self assured one. Because he no longer is that child that he used to be before.
“I know, it took me a while to understand it but I don’t care either way. None of my family talks to me anymore anyway, so I couldn’t matter any less.” Pesco said while letting go of the woman’s hand. His gentle smile, his piercing gaze, the aura of someone that’s worked hard to become the person he is today, all of it felt inspiring and also quite saddening to her.
