“I guess you’re right, they probably gave up afterwards since they saw they couldn’t get to you.” George said as he scratched the back of his neck, it was only next to Kathy that he didn’t feel particularly awkward. There was still this slight distance between them as co-workers but it wasn’t a bad thing.
“Yeah, although they did try other methods as well…” Kathy mumbled in a low voice, there was something honestly terrifying in her expression at that moment.
“Like what?” George questioned while tilting his head to the side.
