Her Last Wish

Third person's POV

Em wakes up early in the morning. She prepares herself to see him again. She's going to Yhung University to meet him. Her parents offered to go with her but she declines. Though they want to protest, they just tend to understand her since it's her wish to go alone.

She arrives at the school and quickly gets out of the car. Students are shock to see her. Some are happy with her presence while some are mad saying why did she had to come back after she suddenly left with no reason, but she didn't mind them. She looked around the campus for hours hoping to see him. Suddenly, she heard shrieking from the girls. She went to see what's happening, and there, she saw the man she is longing for the entire year, walking in the hallway. But she couldn't believe what she is seeing now . He is totally different from the old Kie she knows, but still, all she wants to do is to hug him. She is about to run into him when she stops as she sees Leejin, her biggest hater came running out of nowhere and quickly cling into his arms. Her heart aches when she witnessed that Kie didn't remove Leejin's hand and instead they continue walking like a perfect couple. She is now thinking that they might really be together, but still she tried to ignore the pain and blocks their way to face them.

Leejin froze and turned pale upon seeing her, but Kie shows no reactions at all. Em is so hurt seeing how cold Kie's expression, but what breaks her most is when he casually said, "Let's go babe, we'll be late for class," and then he drags Leejin, passing Em as if he doesn't know her.

She is crying in the hall way when Zhy, one of her friends back then comes to her aid. Zhy takes her to the campus garden. Em tells her everything causing Zhy to shed tears .

"Im so sorry to what has happened, but he really did changed. Last year, when he found out that you left, he didn't attend the recognition. His parents told us that he was so wasted. They were so worried. They tried to contact you, but you're not answering your phone and no one knows where you are. He stayed in his room drinking for weeks. Then, first day of our 4th year college class came, he went to school, but he was very different. He became so cold, violent, and he doesn't participates in class like he used to. He goes to bars and has many flings. He completely changed from a certified good boy to a notorious bad boy. And about that Leejin, I don't really know the real score between them, but no one has ever seen him treats her as his girlfriend. It's just her who keeps bugging him." Zhy told her with pity and sorrow.

"That explains everything. I guess I really deserve this, after all it was my fault. I left him with no goodbyes nor any contact for a year," I uttered as I started crying again.

"No, stop crying. It's not your fault. He just didn't know. And besides, it's not too late. He might be showing toughness outside, but I'm sure he still have his soft heart inside. For the past year 'till now, everytime I cross path with him, I can always see the longing from his eyes. I know he still loves you. All you have to do is tell him and I'm sure he'll understand, especially about your current situation. There is no way his going to ignore your last wish, but for now, it would be best if you go home first and take a rest. You've had enough today, just speak to him tomorrow and make sure he will hear you out," Zhy helps her to stand.

"You're right Zhy, thanks," Em smiled at her.

"It's really unusual to see how you can act that way with everything that you're going through, but I'm glad that you're being strong. And though you don't want me to interfere, please do remember that I'm always be here, ready to help you with anything. Actually, if there's still a cure that can save you, I am willing to do anything just to find and get it. You know that I'm your friend right? I care for you and I refuse to let you go, if only I can," Zhy assures Em that she is not alone as she accompany her back to her car.
