"Ivy, you need to calm down—this isn’t the time for our petty arguments!" Damien’s voice rang out harshly as we stood in the middle of the dimly lit corridor of our safehouse. The tension between us was palpable; our argument about trust, power, and Victor’s schemes had reached a boiling point.
