Chapter 34: The Eclipse Ritual

1014 Words

Ivy’s POV "Victor, you’re playing with fire—what are you planning to do with that journal?" I asked, my voice quivering with urgency as I sat across from Victor in the secret meeting room of the old warehouse. The room was dimly lit by a single hanging lamp, its light casting long shadows across stacks of ancient tomes and scattered manuscripts. Victor’s eyes glimmered with determination. "Ivy, this journal holds the key to exposing the truth about your family’s betrayal. Damien’s father’s treachery and all that has led to our current strife—it’s all written here." Before I could reply, the heavy sound of footsteps interrupted us. The door burst open with a bang, and Damien strode in, his expression dark with anger. "Enough of this deceit!" he roared, lunging at Victor without warning.
